BeruBara Kids 5 was just released today! Ok, ok, so I guess it's already yesterday in Japan. But it's still news!!
I *heart* the cover. Everyone is assigned their own cat(s), for better or for worse heehee. It's so adorable! Just look at all the pretty little bijoux!! My one weakness~ hahaha~
There will be one of four limited edition calendars included, just like with volume 4 (which I still need to open and scan btw >.>).

I'm back with the next page of BeruBara Kids! The theme this time seems to be about dressing in drag... sort of. Hopefully it will make more sense if once the article translation is finished.
November was a pretty hectic month. After seeing how things went last month, I guess it's not always possible for me to update every week. Especially since this is a (mostly) one-man group.
As for the near future, there's still one big project I need to turn out, and then my schedule should be back to normal and you guys will start seeing regular updates along with another new series or two. Please stick ...

Here are the next two strips for BeruBara Kids!
You may have noticed in these first few strips that the larger SFX are not being translated. Well, in those cases I consider them to be more part of the drawing than dialogue, based both on complexity and visual space, with the comics better for it. Let me know if you want those SFX to be translated in the Notes section. (I know some people hate that, but not everyone knows Japanese.)

Since Bijou Blade's first release is BeruBara Kids, I think it only makes sense that the first series recommendation should be the original Rose of Versailles 「ベルサイユのばら」 manga and anime. Now, since you've found this site at all, you are probably already familiar with The Rose of Versailles (aka. BeruBara) in one of it's many incarnations, or perhaps you've only seen references to it in discussions or lists of "classic" anime and manga.
A quick summary for those unfamiliar with the BeruBara legacy: There's an anime series, a live action movie, a drama, multiple theatrical musicals, the BeruBara Kids parody comics, and, of course, the original manga by Riyoko Ikeda which all these other versions are based on. Not to ...
