BeruBara Kids

Japanese Title: ベルばら Kids
Author/Illustrator: Ikeda Riyoko 池田理代子
BeruBara Kids is a collection of four panel comic strips and magazine columns based on The Rose of Versailles. This is an official parody written by creator Riyoko Ikeda. Gags are often staged around events from the manga.
The contents are structured with two comic strips paired with a related article explaining the reference or idea behind the strip(s). The first strip usually parodies a scene from the original manga while the second strip is usually almost completely random, although related themes do appear.
- As of January 2010 there are five compiled volumes of BeruBara Kids.
Please note that I will not be scanning the magazine column pages nor translating the full articles, though I may include bits that are relevant or interesting.

Ohh nice post though really??
CutE!
I’ve wanted to read these for a ling time– thanks!
It’s sooo great to read more of The Rose of Versailles, especially such funny story XD. Thank you so much~
Wow, it’s been a long time since the last time I’ve heard about The Rose of Versailles…
Happy :>
So is the first release two chapters or two strips?
(BakaUpdates says it’s 2 chapters, but I can only find 2 strips here…)
The first release is the first two strips.
BBKids doesn’t have chapters, it’s just a collection of strips and articles, so it doesn’t fit the standard manga format. And it doesn’t look like BakaMangaUpdates has another way to list releases. I will contact them to see if there’s a way to add a note about the format.
Oh my god, I am OVERJOYED that someone picked this up for scanlation! It’s really adorable and funny, and the translation is quite good to boot. Bravo, and I can’t wait to see how the young group grows and develops :D
Thanks! Had no idea that Ikeda-sensei had released something like this. Anything that’s transed is greatly appreciated ^_^
If you’re not going to trans the “articles,” do you think you could host the raws? I’m kind of a completist, and it would be awesome to have them even untransed. Thanks again!
I’ll see what can be done about scanning the articles. If there’s a chance to get those scanned you’ll see them up here too. They’d also be translated given more time and manpower… that’s just not available at the moment (basically sacrificing unabridged content for efficiency).
Still, glad to hear there’s someone interested in the articles! :)
